EastEnders actress Diane Parish presented Gee Walker with an award at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, leaving the audience awestruck and emotional at the moving moment.
Gee Walker has dedicated her life to tackling racism and hate crime after the racially motivated murder of her son Anthony in 2005, when he was just 18 years old.
Being presented with the Pride of Britain's Special Recognition Award by EastEnders' actress Diane Parish, Gee looked visibly moved as Diane talked about the importance of her work. "Your capacity to take pain and turn pain into hope and action is an inspiration to every single one of us.," Diane said.
