East Kilbride Central Library will open its doors from Monday, August 10 with reduced hours and safety measures in place. It comes more than four months after the national lockdown forced its closure along with other libraries in the area.Hamilton Town House Library, Rutherglen Library and Lanark Library will also open.The staged reopening of facilities will see news on the remainder of the area’s 23 local libraries being shared as the programme moves forward.With safety of staff and visitors paramount, the team from South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) are working to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from a return to library use.As a result, several measures will be in place to protect all users including: controlled.
