proposed change to Universal Credit on November 13 that could have cost self-employed claimants hundreds of pounds a month in financial support has been delayed until 2021.
Universal Credit can be claimed by self-employed people who are struggling financially and need help supporting their business.
Their claims are usually assessed by Minimum Income Floor (IMF) rules, however, the policy was amended at the end of March as a result of the impact of coronavirus and a suspension put in place for eight months.
This pause was set to end on November 12 but this week, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) confirmed an extension to the revised MIF rules.
