Dunham Massey has been closed for weeks - but people are still parking illegally and causing problems for villagers

Police have handed out a number of tickets to vehicles parked near Dunham Massey. Officers say it has been “very busy” around the Altrincham beauty spot on Saturday with a number of vehicles “causing an obstruction”.

As a result several have been issued with tickets by both police and traffic wardens. The National Trust house and car park remain closed, but visitors are continuing to drive to the area with some parking 'inappropriately' on adjacent country lanes.

All National Trust parks were closed in March, including Dunham Massey, after Prime Minister imposed the coronavirus lockdown.
