Denis Villeneuve, the director of the upcoming Dune remake, is not happy that Warner Bros.
plans on releasing his movie on HBO Max on the same day as the theatrical release. The 53-year-old director, who is Oscar-nominated for his movie Arrival, wrote an op-ed piece for Variety in which he slammed the studio for the move. Denis also said he learned about the studio’s decision by reading it in the news along with the rest of the world. “I learned in the news that Warner Bros.
has decided to release Dune on HBO Max at the same time as our theatrical release, using prominent images from our movie to promote their streaming service.
