Dundee rocker Ricky Ross urges Scots to get 'boosted by the bells' in Covid jab plea

Scots rocker Ricky Ross has added his voice to the chorus of famous faces asking people to get "boosted by the bells" to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Deacon Blue frontman, who hails from Dundee, took to social media with a video message urging Scots to get their vaccinations as soon as possible.

In the clip, posted on his Twitter profile, Ross said: "Hey. Hope you're having a great Christmas holiday. "Hogmanay's coming - but make sure you get boosted by the bells."Thanks, bye." The Dignity singer's message has been retweeted hundreds of times, including by Scotland's health minister Humza Yousaf.
