Drug driver arrested after being found with 'quantity of cannabis'

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said that they first spotted a Ford Fiesta driving through Farnworth without any lights on. After initially seeing the car in Albert Road, cops chased it to Balmoral Road and tried to block it in.A passenger 'ran off' according to police but the driver, a man, was arrested.

He allegedly failed a drugs test and police said that they also found a 'quantity of cannabis'. Sharing a photo of 38 snap bags of cannabis and a dash cam image of the passenger's apparent escape, a spokesman for GMP Traffic tweeted: "Fiesta sighted Albert Road Farnworth with no lights on."#XT84 blocked the car on Balmoral road as it attempted to avoid the patrol."The passenger ran off but the driver was detained."He would fail a drugs.
