Driver hit with penalty following three-car smash in Barrhead

A driver has been slapped with a fixed penalty notice following three-car smash this morning.All of the people involved in the crash escaped unhurt.The incident occurred around 8.30am on the Glasgow Road in Barrhead.An ambulance crew was dispatched but was not needed in the end.

The team checked those involved in the incident but nobody needed to be admitted to hospital.A spokesperson from the Scottish Ambulance Service told Renfrewshire Live: "We received a call at 8.34am this morning to attend a road traffic collision on Glasgow Road, Barrhead.
