A double murderer and rapist who was released from prison two months ago has been arrested and recalled to jail. Colin Pitchfork, who is now in his early 60s, had served a life sentence after he raped and strangled two 15-year-old girls in Leicestershire during the 1980s.

He was jailed for a minimum of 30 years in 1988 after being convicted of the murders of Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth in 1983 and 1986.
