Seven years ago today Derek McInnes took charge of Aberdeen for the first time. The new boss took his bow in an uninspiring goalless draw at Hibs.Longevity has been the key for the Dons and McInnes but the top-flight’s longest serving chief knows he has been the exception.

Pat Fenlon was opposition gaffer that day and McInnes has faced six different Hibs counterparts in his time at the Pittodrie helm.
