More than a month after George Floyd was killed in broad daylight, with a video showing then-police officer Derek Chauvin‘s knee on the man’s neck for nearly nine minutes, more disturbing details are coming out about the horrifying incident.

While Chauvin has been fired by the Minneapolis Police Department and charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter, newly released transcripts of bodycam footage reveal how he interacted with Floyd.

Despite the victim repeatedly (more than 20 times!!) telling officers he couldn’t breathe and that they were going to kill him, Chauvin told Floyd “it takes a heck of a lot of oxygen” to talk.
