A council is investigating a £10,000 covid business support grant to a pro-independence group.Inverclyde Council said the sum had been paid to Yes Inverclyde last year.Asked whether a complaint had been made and whether the council is conducting an investigation, a council spokesperson said: "Correct."Coronavirus grants are subject to audit and fraud allegations will be investigated.
The matter has now been referred to our corporate fraud service to review."An SNP spokesperson said: "This is a matter between Inverclyde Council and Yes Inverclyde.
