With her grandaughter Alya’s words ringing in her ears, last night saw Yasmeen make a bold step forward by sneaking out to the community centre to meet with the police.
The meeting was to follow up on her request for information on Geoff’s past through the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme or Clare’s Law as it’s known.
What she learns is shocking after Geoff had previously passed off a complaint with an ex as a drunken row. He even went so far as to claim that he was the one who had been attacked during the incident.
