Coronavirus Scotland: One new death as case numbers continue to slow down

Scotland has recorded just one more coronavirus death and 18 new cases as the nation continues in its quest to reduce transmission of the deadly illness.

Across the NHS Ayrshire & Arran region, a total of 1,061 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus which is an increase of just one from yesterday's report.

There remain fewer than five patients, within the health board's region, in intensive care with confirmed or suspected COVID-19.However, the number of people in hospital with confirmed coronavirus at midnight stood at 13.Scotland's coronavirus death toll now stands at 2,363 – which is a rise of one from the figure yesterday.Across Scotland, a total of 115,259 tests have been carried out with 15,418 delivering a positive result
