Coronavirus Scotland: All libraries to close in North Ayrshire and community centre lets suspended

All libraries and community centres in North Ayrshire are to close as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.Libraries are set to close today and all halls and community centres will be closed to external lets from close of business on Friday.The Harbour Arts Centre, Heritage Centre and Irvine Townhouse will remain closed.Meanwhile, Eglinton Country Park remains open as a public space but the cafe, visitors centre and toilets are now closed.The Greenwood Conference Centre will remain open for back office work until 4.30pm on Friday, March 27.The council issued a statement about the closures on their website.

It said: “In the interest of public safety and to adhere to current NHS and Government guidelines surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
