The solicitor first appeared on the cobbles last year and his appearance in Weatherfield hasn't been brief as he soon caught the attention of Dee-Dee Bailey.
The pair have struck up a romance and during Monday night's (February 19) episode of the ITV soap, viewers saw Dee-Dee's friends and colleagues Alya and Adam Barlow teasing her about Joel after she found a receipt dated December for a jewellers.
It was revealed he'd spent hundreds of pounds in the shop but the receipt didn't specify what it was he had bought. As Alya and Adam couldn't help but tease whether he was planning to pop the question to Dee-Dee, Joel called at the solicitors to find the trio discussing the receipt.
