The segment debated the difference between real meat products versus plant-based ones as part of a wider discussion on the impact of climate change.
Three volunteers were challenged to taste burgers and hot dogs to see if they could tell the difference between the meat versions and their plant-based alternatives.
While sustainable farming and food production might be a hot topic around the world, many viewers were put off by the ‘watered down’ segment being featured on a current affairs programme and weren’t shy about making their feelings known on Twitter.
