Super sub Chris Anton was at the double to help Luncarty add another three points to their Conference B total on Saturday afternoon.And the experienced operator was just pleased to know “there is still a bit of magic left” in the boots.He came off the bench to net a screamer before adding another to put the result beyond doubt.Earlier in the afternoon Aaron Carlon and Ben Scarborough had been on the scoresheet for the Bleachers.“The third was lovely,” Anton smiled.“I had been practicing a few at half-time very similar and most of them ended up over the clubhouse.“It was a great feeling to be back out there and feeling good.

I’ve struggled with injury a lot since Christmas but recently have felt back to myself. It’s good to know that there is still a bit of magic left!”Despite the 4-1 triumph, Anton admits Edinburgh South - who are ninth in the table - could feel unfortunate to leave Brownlands Park with nothing.“Honestly, I think the result flattered us,” he explained to the Perthshire Advertiser.“The boys started the game very well and got two goals in front but after that didn’t reach the levels expected.“Edinburgh South made it tough for us and were unlucky not to get level.”Anton was full of praise for younger members of the squad, including the likes of Scarborough, Carlon, Olly Hamilton and Kyle Green.“Ben has been brilliant since he has come in and is a huge player for us,” Anton said.“His stats have been incredible, either scoring or assisting goals.“And I have been so impressed with Aaron.“When he plays through the middle his pace terrifies defenders and he is so composed in front of goal.“Olly and Kyle have also been great over the last few months.
