Actress Cheryl Fergison has revealed she is still struggling to shake her former EastEnders character 10 years after leaving the show. The former soaps star, 56, famously played Walford resident Heather Trott for five years before she was killed off in a shocking scene in 2012.
After spending a total of 386 episodes in the famous show, it’s to be expected Cheryl will continue to be known for her stint on Albert Square – but it does get frustrating.
Cheryl has since gone on to land a huge number of different leading roles, including in sitcoms The Spa and Big School and in theatre productions on London’s West End.
Most recently, the actress landed a starring role in Catherine Tate’s Netflix mockumentary Hard Cell, where she plays herself: a former soaps star hired by prison governess Laura to help put on a production of West Side Story.
