Milnathort musician has struck the right chord to raise money for a worthy cause. Derek Flory grabbed his guitar and gave his vocals a lockdown workout to create a CD with all proceeds going to Children's Hospices Across Scotland.
The 68-year-old was inspired after a church minister asked him to record a song to help beat the lockdown blues.And it has snowballed from there with local businesses getting involved to help him put together the 18-song album of cover versions.
Retired Derek hopes to raise £6000 for CHAS, which runs Rachel House in nearby Kinross. “During the first lockdown, a friend of mine who is a Church of Scotland minister, asked me to record a song to cheer him up,” he told the Perthshire Advertiser. “I got more and more.
