King Charles III married Camilla, Queen Consort back in April 2005, after knowing each other for several decades. The new monarch, 73, and Camilla, 75, announced their engagement in February 2005, 35 years after they first met, and went on to tie the knot two months later.

The royal couple's wedding took place on 9 April but it was originally scheduled for 8 April, having been delayed due to the death of Pope John Paul II.

King Charles and Camilla also changed their wedding venue weeks before their nuptials, with it taking place in Windsor Guildhall rather than Windsor Castle.

Their wedding was unique as they got hitched in a civil ceremony rather than a Church of England service. Charles was the first ever royal to marry in a civil ceremony in England.
