A GENEROUS Glenmavis man is helping to transform the lives of abandoned young girls in India by helping them move into a stunning new home.Tom Harrigan MBE launched his mission to keep these youngsters “safe and well” during one of his regular visits to the Punjab region of India in 2001.He was taken to the Unique Home for Girls in Jalandhar City, a charity run by the Bhai Ghanayya Ji Charitable Trust that takes care of “abandoned, unwanted and orphaned girls”.Grandfather Tom, 71, said: “Little did I realise the effect this life-changing visit would have on me.
