Police have issued a fresh CCTV appeal after a woman was left with a broken jaw in an attack near a bar in Salford. The shocking incident happened on Liverpool Road in Eccles, near Wangies Bar, at around 1.20am on February 26.

A woman - aged in her 30s - was punched in the face, leaving her with a broken jaw. Following the attack, police released pictures of a man they wanted to speak to.

Detectives are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward. Alongside the new clip released on social media this morning, an officer wrote: "#APPEAL | Detectives in our #Swinton CID are continuing to investigate the assault of a woman in #Eccles earlier this year & want to speak to this man seen on the video. "If you recognise him then do contact us via LiveChat or by calling 101 quoting 229 of 26/02/2022."
