A cannabis farm was uncovered in a house in Moss Side after emergency services were called to a fire. Firefighters were scrambled to the scene on Cowesby Street at around 9.40pm on Sunday (September 4).

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "On Sunday 4 September 2022 at around 9:40pm officers attended an incident on Cowesby Street, Moss Side to support GMFRS who were dealing with a house fire. "After entering the address GMFRS found a significant cannabis farm inside the property.
