Canadian Music Week has cancelled its 2020 event in Toronto, becoming the latest large-scale event in the city to fall victim to the COVID-19 pandemic.CMW, which typically sees thousands of people watching hundreds of music performances in dozens of venues, and includes various awards shows and a conference over five days, had earlier postponed from its usual time in May (19-23) to September (9-13).But now the festival has now been cancelled outright and is regrouping for 2021, says CMW president Neill Dixon, due to “too many unavoidable obstacles” such as international artists unable to travel due to restrictions or the limit on public gatherings.“High-attendance events such as concerts, sports and conferences will likely be the last
