Brendan O’Carroll has come under fire after claiming things between himself and his former Mrs Brown’s Boys co-star Gary Hollywood were ‘amicable’.

Rumours swirled that the actor left the comedy series over a pay dispute but Brendan denied this was the case over the weekend and assured fans that there was no bad blood between them.

He insisted that Gary’s departure was due to personal reasons and not about money at all. However, sources close to Gary have spoken out and claim that there was nothing amicable about their split.

41-year-old Gary played hairdresser Dino Doyle for 20 years and his absence from the BBC One show has been noticed by viewers.
