fatal fire at the five-star resort over three years ago.Christopher O’Malley pleaded guilty to the charge during a hearing last month but the details can only now be reported after bosses from the hotel admitted a series of health and safety failings in relation to the fire today.The 35-year-old admitted failing to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people affected by his actions including guests of the hotel, namely Simon Midgley and Richard Dyson.Following his guilty plea just days before the third anniversary of the fire, the court heard how O’Malley cleared out ash from an open fire in the Cameron Grill restaurant in the early hours of December 18, before emptying them into a plastic bag and storing it in a concierge.
