A boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a 'stolen' car in a hit-and-run. The incident happened on George Richards Way in Broadheath just after 9pm last night (Sunday).

Police said they were called to reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian. Emergency services found a boy, aged 16, with a serious head injury at the scene. The driver of the car - a purple Volkswagen Scirocco - fled the scene after the crash. The car is believed to have been stolen.
