Jared Grimes, the Tony-nominated star of Funny Girl on Broadway, was asked about how his former co-star Beanie Feldstein handled the drama and backlash that came her way during her run as Fanny Brice.

Here’s just some of what happened while Beanie was starring in the show. In June 2022, it was announced that Beanie was leaving the show and that her final performance will be on September 25.

However, a month later, Beanie abruptly announced that she was leaving the show earlier than anticipated, and the next day, producers revealed that Lea Michele will become the new Fanny Brice on September 6.

The producers of the Broadway show then spoke out about the drama that ensued. Beanie also explained her decision to step away much earlier than ancitipated.
