Gladiator star Michael Wilson, who is known by his stage name 'Cobra,' opened up on his health battles which at one point left him "immobile for months" as he spoke of cancelling surgery to continue paying the bills. The 90s television star admitted he has been busy booking new jobs following the reboot of the iconic game show over on BBC as the now 60-year-old explained he is currently recovering from Covid which impacted him badly.Michael told the Star that the virus had a tough effect on him due to having "scarred lungs" from when he formerly suffered from double pneumonia and pleurisy during his time at hospital where he was admitted for a month. "It's been a problem because I've got a scarred lung and some residual stuff from when I had double pneumonia and pleurisy, I had to stay in hospital for a month, that wasn't good," he told the publication. "I've now cancelled the operation I was gonna get, I was going to get a tendon from a cadaver, underneath my rotator cuff, there are no tendons whatsoever.

They're all ripped off. I've got loads of loads of work coming in with Gladiator bits and pieces. And I can't take the time out really.

I've got bills to pay."Discussing his pain, Michael added: "It doesn't hurt, there's nerve damage there so I don't have any pain really.

I've got a full thickness tear on the front of my other arm, that needs looking at they can't reattach it because it's got six bolts from a previous tearing.
