Amateur football club slam "rip-off" prices in South Lanarkshire as Covid lockout continues for changing rooms

Claremont AFC chairman Harry Beattie this week tore a strip off South Lanarkshire Leisure, claiming football clubs in East Kilbride are being “ripped off” and “left in the dark ages”.Beattie says clubs are being charged full price (£70 per hour) to use facilities in the town, but are not able to access changing rooms or showers and has demanded a rebate, which he claims has been denied.He feels so strongly about this he has contacted councillor David Watson and MSP Colette Stevenson, and says he has support from East Kilbride Rolls-Royce, Dynamo, Harp, Accies, and several other clubs.Beattie said: “I have canvassed the other senior teams in East Kilbride.“Everyone is of the same opinion, and they keep getting run round the post with South
