Altrincham Market is welcoming back its food hall traders from this weekend

Altrincham's popular Market House food hall is reopening for takeaway collections from this weekend. Its resident traders will be back in the kitchens today and tomorrow for a trial service, gearing up to open for more days in the weeks ahead.

And its sister market, the Mackie Mayor in Manchester's Northern Quarter, could soon follow suit, director Nick Johnson confirmed.

Customers can order 'raw' meals that have been prepped to cook at home, to collect between 4pm and 6pm, or ready-cooked meals that just need reheating, which can be picked up between 6pm and 9pm.

The raw menu includes make-your-own pizza kits from Honest Crust; build-your-own burgers, steaks and whole fish en papilotte from Tender Cow; mac 'n' cheese from Little Window;
