Aldi has combined two breakfast staples, coffee and bacon, to create a brand-new product which will soon be available to buy in stores across the country.

From Thursday, May 6, shoppers will be able to buy coffee-infused bacon alongside the usual choices of regular smoked and unsmoked rashers.

The budget supermarket’s Coffee Flavoured Bacon will cost £1.79 per pack, which is slightly more expensive than Aldi’s normal bacon which carries a £1.59 price tag.

To create the perfect partnership, Aldi cured the bacon in coffee for 24 hours and describes the flavour as having a “syrupy, caramel-like bite” with a slightly sweet taste.
