Airdrie striker Calum Gallagher has signed up at the Diamonds for a fourth season. The forward first joined in 2019 but his future was uncertain with his most recent deal expiring this summer. He's put pen to paper on new terms that will see him stay until the summer of 2023 at least under new player-manager Rhys McCabe.Gallagher enjoyed an impressive season - scoring 16 times - as his team finished second in League One under Ian Murray and reached the final of the Championship play-off.
He said: “It’s nice to get it over the line and continue my tenure here. Since day dot signing here it’s been a place that I’ve really enjoyed being. “We’ve got a real strong core at the minute, and it’s just a really exciting place to be.
Again, we’re looking to push and have another successful year.” Overall the 27-year-old has grabbed 38 goals in 102 appearances at Airdrie. After starting his career at Rangers, Gallagher moved on to St Mirren in 2015 before two years at Dumbarton prior to his 2019 switch to North Lanarkshire.Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
