Having secured planning permission for the bar and an external terrace in July, the owners applied for a premises licence to open from 9am to 2.30am seven days a week.But plans to sell alcohol from 9am to 2am daily had attracted objections from Greater Manchester Police and Manchester council’s licensing out of hours (LOOH) and trading standards teams.A report to the city’s licensing subcommittee hearing panel says: “LOOH Compliance are of the opinion that such types of premises generate specific issues, such as large groups, increased drunkenness and subsequent potential for higher levels of public nuisance.”All three authorities requested stricter conditions on the licence to ensure that the council’s licensing objectives - the prevention.
