Millions of households across Scotland and the rest of the UK are facing an even bigger increase in their fuel bills from next month following Ofgem's price cap announcement in February.
The energy price cap, which acts as a backstop to limit the amount that households have to pay for default tariffs, now sits at £1,277, however, the regulator announced this will increase by £693 to £1,971 per year for 22 million households from April 1.
Kevin Pratt, energy expert at price comparison and financial guidance platform, Forbes Advisor, shares 11 tips that could save you an impressive, and much needed £1,205 this year, on average.
It's worth noting however, that most of these money-saving hacks involve some outgoing costs to reap the rewards in the long-term.
