It is understood Melissa Belshaw's tenage daughter was with her when she was knifed at her home in Wigan on Wednesday afternoon (May 20).
Melissa, 32, who was due to open The Lash Room in Wigan, suffered 'catastrophic injuries' when she was attacked on Upholland Road, Billinge.
