A woman who's been bed-bound for six years due to illness says all she wants is to visit the park near her home over the summer.

Emma Dolan-Horlock contracted Lyme Disease after being bitten by a tick on a trip to America 10 years ago, which then lead to ongoing complications.

The 46-year-old, who lives across from Sefton Park, Liverpool, has been in severe pain and struggles to sit up or stand, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Her Automatic Nervous System was ravaged by a subsequent respiratory virus in 2014, stemming back to her Lyme Disease, and she was eventually left with life-threatening Addisons disease.
