A Rangers team which has still to hit top gear this season visits Motherwell for Sunday's early kick-off. The Premiership champions needed a late penalty to salvage a draw with Aberdeen on Wednesday night, with manager Steven Gerrard admitting his stars are suffering something of an identity crisis.

They could be off the top of the league for the first time in a year going into this one, with Celtic two points behind and in action on Saturday afternoon against Livingston.

Motherwell have a point to prove themselves, with Graham Alexander's side winless in their last four. They also failed to win on Tuesday night, managing only a 2-2 draw with St Mirren.
