Steven Gerrard

Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Celtic land their own box-office manager in the summer. And the talkSPORT pundit believes the likes of Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard would be tempted north of the border if a vacancy arises at Parkhead.

The Manchester United and Everton legend is currently in charge at Derby while Lampard is under scrutiny at Chelsea after a recent poor run.

Neil Lennon remains in charge of Celtic but the club legend has faced calls to go from a section of the support and his side currently trail runaway leaders Rangers by 21 points.

But Cundy has urged the dejected Hoops faithful not to be too downbeat because he believes a clutch of A-list names will be desperate to boost their stock by heading to the Premiership to lock horns with Gerrard.
