When the fabric comes into contact with fire it can burns quickly and intensely and can result in serious injury or death, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) warns.It has partnered with the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), Fire and Rescue Services and health charities in a new campaign to raise awareness of its dangers.
The moisturising treatment is used by thousands of people every day to treat dry, itchy or scaly skin such as eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis.
