Wardens will patrol parks in Salford to make sure that no one is breaking lockdown advice. Salford council have announced that its staff will be checking up on individuals using the city’s green spaces to ensure that residents are sticking to the government’s guidelines on social distancing.

In a social media post published today, the town hall wrote: “Wardens will be out patrolling our parks to ensure they are being used responsibly, within government guidelines and people are not using closed areas such as playgrounds.” It adds: “Parks are for exercise only.

Only go outside for food, health reasons, one form of exercise a day or work (but only if you cannot work from home). We all need to take responsibility for our actions.
