Police were called to Darbyshire Street at around 7.30pm on Tuesday (March 16) to reports of an assault. The attacker – believed to be a man – verbally abused the women before threatening them with a knife.

No one was injured. Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made, a spokesman for GMP said.
