Sarah Beeny has revealed that she has breast cancer and is currently receiving treatment.The 50 year old presenter, who is best known for her work on shows such as Help!

My House Is Falling Down and Sarah Beeny’s New Life In The Country, has said that despite the diagnosis, she will continue to work on a new Channel 4 series and book she has planned for later in the year.

She has revealed that she has began a course of chemotherapy to treat the cancer last week and will have surgery and radiotherapy early next year.The presenter lost her mother to breast cancer when she was 10 years old.The presenter, who shares four children with her husband Graham Swift, has admitted that she had “a little bit of a breakdown” after receiving the news in a hospital consultation room.

She added that she plans to draw on her “inner strength” throughout her treatment process and also added in an interview with The Telegraph: “I’m lucky because I live in a family where we all talk.” Sarah said she'd been waiting to hear she had cancer ever since losing her mother, who was 39 when she died.
