Family and friends of the five victims who died in a Thursday shooting spree in Raleigh, North Carolina, are mourning the lives that were taken suddenly away from them in a 15-year-old suspect's senseless act of violence. On Thursday, Wake County District Attorney Lorri Freeman filed a juvenile petition against the suspect, who remains in critical condition, with the intent to transfer the case to the Supreme Court and charge him as an adult, according to WNCN. The 15-year-old is accused of shooting the five victims within a two-mile radius of Raleigh's Hedingham neighborhood, a middle-class golfing community, and the Neuse River Greenway that wraps around the neighborhood, just after 5 p.m.

Documents from the Florida Department of Transportation released Friday reportedly show that the state has paid nearly $1 million to arrange two sets of flights, carrying approximately 100 migrants who had entered the country illegally, to Delaware and Illinois. Texas authorities nabbed 15 illegal immigrants during a recent attempt to smuggle them into the United States as they bailed out of the vehicle and tried to flee. A Michigan teenager allegedly jumped over the retaining wall of a freeway and fell 25 to 30 feet after running out of gas in an allegedly stolen Mustang during a police chase on Wednesday evening, the Brownstown Police Department said. Eight days after Georgia toddler Quinton Simon was reported missing from his Savannah home, police announced Thursday that they have not yet located the 20-month-old's remains, despite naming a prime suspect – his mother – and accumulating evidence to indicate that he is no longer alive.  "Sadly, we still have not found Quinton," said Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley. "The evidence that we have so far, based on multiple search warrants and interviews, has led us to the conclusion that Quinton is deceased." He added: "The accumulation of evidence over these last eight days has led us to this conclusion today." Law enforcement notified Quinton’s family on Wednesday that investigators "believe he is deceased," the Chatham County Police Department announced later that day.The department did not provide details of Quinton’s whereabouts but said that investigators had named the boy’s mother, Leilani Simon, "as the prime suspect in his disappearance and death."  Quinton Simon's mother, Leilani Simon, was photographed outside her Savannah home on Oct.

An Indiana man accused of smuggling three migrants crashed his car during a high-speed chase in Uvalde County recently, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Richard Diaz, 21, allegedly told police that he was being paid $3,000 per person to smuggle the migrants from the border community of Eagle Pass to San Antonio.  He was charged with two counts of human smuggling causing serious bodily injury, Texas DPS spokesman Christopher Olivarez told Fox News Digital.  The driver sped off during an apparent traffic stop in Uvalde County, Texas.  (Texas Department of Public Safety) Dashcam footage shows the driver accelerate away from an apparent traffic stop at night. Multiple schools went into lockdown across counties in Florida on Tuesday morning as police responded to false calls of active shooters. Police dispatches in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Orange counties received 911-calls on Tuesday morning reporting mass shootings and gunmen wearing body armor.

The family of 17-year-old Erik Cantu, who was shot multiple times by a former San Antonio police officer while eating a hamburger in a McDonald's parking lot earlier this month, said Tuesday that the teen is still on life support.  "At this time, there is no improvement in his condition. He is still unconscious and is on life support. The last two days have been difficult and we expect more difficulty ahead, but we remain hopeful," Cantu's family told Fox News Digital in a statement through their attorney, Brian Powers.  "We’d like to correct any misrepresentations that Erik is in ‘stable condition’ or he is 'going to be fine.' That is not true.
