In the tracking week ending July 5, the song gained by 11 percent in plays, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It was penned solo by Greene, who pastors Forward City Church in Columbia, S.C., with his wife, Jacqueline Gyamfi Greene. "I am thrilled that 'Won't Let Go' has had the impact that it has," Greene tells Billboard. "This song was written from my heart and recorded on the 30th anniversary of my father's death.
My life is proof that even in tragedy God is faithful. After releasing the song, I wasn't aware that 2020 would be an unforgettable year for the entire world.
