Celebrated radio DJ Janice Long has died aged 66. Long, best known as a presenter on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and Top of the Pops, died after a short illness at home on Christmas Day with her family, her agent has confirmed.

In an influential career spanning five decades, she was the first woman to have her own daily show on Radio 1 and also the first woman to present Top of the Pops.
