The Voice fans left ‘fuming’ over controversial new ‘block’ button

VIEWERS of The Voice were left ‘fuming’ on Saturday night as they got to see the new “block” button in action as Olly Murs prevented fellow judge Tom Jones from picking one of the acts.

Although the rules weren’t explained completely, it appears each judge has the opportunity to block one of their fellow judges from being a potential option to an act each week.

During Saturday’s episode of The Voice, judges Anne-Marie, Sir Tom Jones, Will.I.Am and Olly Murs tried to clarify exactly how the “block” button worked.

Showing the buttons to the camera, viewers could see the judges had three extra buzzers they could press – each titled with a competitor’s name.
