Dame Emma Thompson has revealed that her heartbreaking scene as Karen in Love Actually was a case of art imitating life. In the classic 2003 Christmas movie, Emma's character gets upset after she finds a gorgeous necklace that her husband (played by the late Alan Rickman) bought a mistress for Christmas.
