Peacock Revolution exhibition opened to the public on April 9 this year but enjoyed an official opening event at Pickford's House in Friar Gate, owned by Derby Museums, on Friday, July 15.
A jacket worn by Elton John and dozens of stunning ties, watches and kaftans are just some of the items on show, all of which date from 1966-1970 and are owned by Peter Feely, from Derby.
Mr Feely, 54, became fascinated with the style of the era after the 1979 film Quadrophenia, and the assassination of John Lennon in 1980, which led to clips of The Beatles and the fashion of the 60s being played in news bulletins on TV.
Throughout the 1990s to today, Mr Feely has amassed a huge collection of valuable items, and even met his wife, Susie, through his passion.
